He was last seen on screen in 1978. The name of the film was Prannoy Pasha. He is returning to the screen again. A movie based on his film life is being made on Tollywood screens. Director Abhijit Chowdhury, who has the experience of directing a film like Patalghar, apart from fame in the advertising world. But the surprise does not end here. Suchitra Sen's granddaughter Raima has also been in talks to play the lead role in the film. Raima is currently in Singapore.

Before leaving Kolkata, Raima said, 'Yes, I met producer Ujjal Singh. The idea of the picture is very nice. But I can't say yes right now without hearing the script. Because the script is the biggest thing of this film. The film will be made by combining fictional and non-fictional. No one has made such a film here before. If all goes well, it could be a historical film.' Abhijeet is reluctant to talk about the script of the movie right now. 'My film is about a superstar of Bengali cinema. Yes, it is true that the film would be based on Suchitra Sen's career. But the structure has not yet been decided. I will meet Raima when the script is finished' - says the director.
