According to the report, under a scheme to solve family problems, financial assistance is provided by the government to the accounts of beneficiaries among low-income people. However, to be a beneficiary of this scheme, the center makes it mandatory for the female head of the family to be the owner or co-owner of the house.
The four women who received financial assistance under this scheme misused the money. After depositing 50 thousand rupees in each of their accounts, they left their respective husbands and ran away.
Now the husbands of the four runaway women are facing two problems. First: They fear that the District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) will warn them. Why they have not started building the house now.
Secondly, they are also afraid of getting a notice for payment of installments. That is why the husbands of the four women have requested the DUD officials not to send the installment money to their wives' accounts. The whole issue came to light after DUDA sent a notice to construct the house.
DUDA project officer Sourav Tripathi said husbands are instructed to convince their wives to bring them home. Because this is government money, it should not be misused at all. If so, appropriate action will be taken.
