Magnificent Ray of Fortune: Today is Holy Shavebarat

The Dhaka Times Desk Today (Tuesday) is the night before the day, the holy Shavebarat or Rajni of good luck. The night of the 14th day of Shaban in Hijri is considered auspicious for the Muslim world.

The word Shabbarat originally comes from the Persian word. Shab means night, Barat means luck. In Arabic it is called - 'Lailatul Mubaraka' or 'Lailatul Barat'. Mubaraka means blessed. In this virtuous Rajni, Almighty Allah opens the door of special mercy for the servants. It is stated in the Hadith Sharif that on this night, the fate of the servants is forgiven and a new destiny is recorded by the order of Allah. Devout Muslims will spend this auspicious and glorious night in worship.

In the court of Almighty Allah, you will spend your life in Nafal worship for happiness, peace, progress and prosperity in this world and the hereafter, with deep regret for all the mistakes and sins of your life and freedom from sin in the coming days.

On the occasion of Holy Shabbat, the President. Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted the countrymen. In separate messages, they also wished for continued happiness, peace, welfare, progress and prosperity of the country, nation and the Muslim world.

Devout Muslims have already made preparations to observe the night with due religious dignity and solemnity. Elders advise to worship Allah by going to the mosque or sitting at home on this night. After praying the entire night, after the Fajr prayer, we should pray to Allah for forgiveness, so that Allah will free us from all dangers. Most of the time should be spent for Nafal Namaz, recitation of the Holy Qur'an, Zikir-Azkar throughout the night. Many will visit the graves of their deceased parents and relatives on this holy night and pray for the forgiveness of their souls.
