The scholarship scheme, in partnership with 19 UK universities, covers tuition fees, monthly stipend, travel expenses, visa and health coverage. If a woman is dependent on others then she can apply for this scholarship with additional assistance.
According to the UN Scientific Education and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), less than 30 percent of the world's researchers are women and only 30 percent of female students choose a STEM subject when entering higher education. Globally, female students have the lowest rate of higher education in information and communication technology (3 percent); In this regard, it is followed by natural sciences, mathematics and statistics (5 percent); and engineering, manufacturing and construction (8 percent). In the last session, 120 students took admission in higher education of their choice with this scholarship.
Aspirants from Bangladesh can apply for both Master's Degree and Early Academic Fellowship.
