The Dhaka Times Desk The IT sector of Bangladesh has been given utmost importance and priority in the trade and investment summit held in Japan.
Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was present as the chief guest in the conference held with emphasis on strengthening trade and investment relations between Bangladesh and Japan.
The summit was held in collaboration with Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) and Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Japan-Bangladesh Committee for Commercial and Economic Cooperation (JBCCEC). The event highlights the immense potential of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Basis President Russell T Ahmed presented papers and spoke on behalf of the country's ICT sector at the summit. He highlighted the capacity, success, potential of the ICT industry in Bangladesh and the incentives provided by the government for foreign investors.
