According to a report, this ad will be shown only when users are waiting for a ride and the journey is in progress. Not only ride sharing, but after placing an order on Uber Eats, this ad will also appear in search results and other areas.
The ad will even appear on tablets inside some Uber cars. After the US, the video ads will be rolled out in the UK, France, Australia and other markets by the end of this year. Uber started showing static ads on Uber Eats from 2019 and ride sharing service from last year.
By 2024, the company wants to generate $1 billion in advertising revenue. By default, video ads will be muted and run for a maximum of 90 seconds. However, it is not yet clear whether the user can turn off the ads displayed on his app.
