The country's administrative department or public prosecution said in a statement published on its official Twitter account that 'using spirituality and the sanctity of the Hajj ritual to collect donations is absolutely prohibited.'
The statement also said that spoiling the environment of Hajj to collect donations will also be considered as a major crime. In this case, an arrest warrant will be issued. The reason is that activities such as begging or collection of donations have the fear of illegally misappropriating other people's money. Various fraudulent methods may also be used in this case.
The Saudi Public Prosecution said that during the Hajj, alms or donations cannot be collected from any party without obtaining permission from the competent authorities. Such actions will be considered illegal. In addition, it is prohibited to advertise or solicit donations.
