The Dhaka Times Desk Elections were held in 265 out of 266 seats in the National Assembly of Pakistan on February 8. But no party wants to form a government in Pakistan!
Independents backed by former Prime Minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won a total of 92 seats in the February 8 election. Nawaz Sharif's Muslim League (PMLN) won 75 seats. And Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's Pakistan People's Party (PPP) won 54 seats. Small parties of the country got the rest of the seats.
No party got a single majority in the elections. Even after 9 days of election, it is still not confirmed which party will form the government.
Nawaz Sharif's PMLN started the race to form the government immediately after the election. They started trying to form an alliance with Bilawal Bhutto's PPP. However, on February 13, PPP chief Bilawal Bhutto said that they will not join the government. Instead, PPP will go to parliament as an opposition party. He said, 'We don't even have the mandate to form the government.'
Meanwhile, on Friday (February 16), Imran Khan directed his party PTI to go to the National Assembly as an opposition party.
It is clear from the words of Bilawal and Imran that they want to play the role of the opposition instead of forming the government or joining the government.
However, a new report in the Pakistani media on Friday said that a section of Nawaz Sharif's PMLN has also objected to the 'formation of the government'. That section comments that since they did not get a single majority or any kind of majority, they too should not form the government. They fear that even if they do form a government, it will be a very weak one and will not last long.
Khawaja Saad Rafique, one of the senior PML-N leaders, remains the leader of this wing of the party. In a post on social media X on Friday, Khawaja Saad Rafique said that since PTI has got the most seats, they should form the government through alliance with PPP. In the current situation of the country, taking the lead in the formation of the government at the moment means decorating one's own crown with a thorn and we think that PML-N has no such intention.
Although the PMLN has yet to officially announce anything from the party as a whole, it is clear that many of its leaders have objections to government formation.
In the end what will happen in Pakistan if they take a party decision not to go to government? Imran and Bilawal have already said that they will not form the government. Who will form the next government in Pakistan? But will the 'rumours' be true, the army will take power? These discussions are going on all over Pakistan. The issue of 'anxiety' is also running on Pakistani TV channels. Source: Dawn Paper.

How to prevent dengue
Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral fever. This fever is different from other viral or bacterial fevers. However, this fever is not contagious in any way. This viral fever can occur alone or in combination with other viruses (chikungunya, yellow fever, Burma forest, flu, respiratory syncytial) and bacteria (pneumococcus).
Dengue fever is divided into two categories depending on the severity of symptoms and fever.
1. Common dengue fever
2. Dengue fever with bleeding.
In the case of common dengue fever, the following symptoms are mainly seen-
1. Sudden high fever lasting 2 to 7 days.
2. Severe headache.
3. Pain behind the eyes.
4. Along with the fever, red rash appears all over the body.
5. Severe pain in whole body as well as back pain.
6. Nausea or vomiting.
7. A rash or red bumps on the skin.
In case of dengue fever with bleeding:
1. Bleeding from nose, mouth or vomiting with high fever within 2 to 48 hours.
2. Fluid accumulation in chest or abdomen along with fever.
If any of these symptoms appear, seek medical attention immediately.
On the other hand
Wait at home for the first 3 days of fever. On the other hand, sponge the whole body with water every now and then. This will reduce the level of fever. Drink enough water and rest. After that, if the fever does not decrease or if it continues to increase after some time, consult a doctor immediately.
Things to do to prevent Dengue:
1. Try to keep the surroundings of the house as clean as possible.
2. If there are flower tubs or broken plastic bottles, can shells, tires or polythene inside the house, clean them quickly and drain the accumulated water from the flower tubs.
3. Spray or fog at least 3 times a week to kill mosquitoes.
4. You can keep mosquito repellent cream with you while going out.
5. After evening, younger and older members of the household should use mosquito nets.
6. Clean up any accumulated rain water, as this is the time when Aedes mosquitoes lay their eggs.
7. On the other hand, you can use mats along with mosquito nets to avoid mosquito infestation.
8. Since Aedes mosquitoes bite during the day, it is important to avoid sleeping with mosquito nets while sleeping during the day. Source: https://dmpnews.org
