It is known that the country's hatchery industry is shutting down due to the cargo plane crisis. Due to lack of flight, an average of two crore shrimps are dying every day. And at least one crore more are getting sick and sick. Due to this, the businessmen of the shrimp sector are facing a total loss of more than 100 crore rupees every month.
It has been alleged that a powerful syndicate with the connivance of civil aviation and some cargo traders is responsible for the disaster. Every season they are making crores of rupees by creating artificial crisis of cargo planes. It is known that a group is monopolizing the business by managing some corrupt officials and employees of civil aviation for huge sums of money. They are resorting to various schemes to prevent other cargo aircraft from entering this sector. Even if any new businessmen come, they are stopped by various means. That is why the corrupt syndicate of civil aviation has to be managed by extorting huge sums of money every month.
Pona businessmen said that despite bringing two state-of-the-art N-26B cargo aircraft on April 7 in compliance with all civil aviation regulations, the civil aviation is still not allowing them to operate flights. Before bringing the aircraft, all kinds of clearances were given by the civil aviation authorities, but now they are saying that there are many problems. Due to not being able to operate the flight in this condition, they have to calculate the loss of 8 lakh rupees daily including the salary of 13 crew. Traders are stumbling like this at every post. Earlier, two planes of an airline called Rupsi Bangla were brought to Chittagong but they were not allowed to fly. On the contrary, Afzal Hossain, the managing director of the organization, is being harassed with the case.
Piglet producer (hatchery owner) Najibul Islam said that due to lack of airplanes, 250 million piglets are dying every day while transporting piglets by truck on the road. It takes only one and a half hours to deliver Pona from Cox's Bazar to Khulna by cargo plane. But it takes more than 24 hours by road. At that time, 60 percent of puppies died on the road due to lack of oxygen. In addition, another one crore children became sick and weak. A civil aviation official said that currently there is only one cargo plane to carry fish fry. With that cargo ship of Easy Fly Express Limited, it is possible to bring and carry a maximum of one and a half crore ponas per day. Due to lack of aircraft, they are not able to operate more than two flights per day.
Hatchery owners say Easy Airlines has a monopoly business as there are no other cargo ships. As there is no competitor, the rent is also high. According to them, the investment of around 2000 crore rupees will collapse if the ship, which is old for a long time, sits down due to technical faults. In this context, Parvin A Nahar, Deputy Managing Director of Easy Fly Express Limited, said that they are operating flights following international laws and all the rules of civil aviation of Bangladesh. As they have only one aircraft, they cannot operate more than two flights per day. According to him this sector is very big. A huge amount of revenue is possible from this sector if the government gets proper support.
