Mass suicide of birds
The peaceful atmosphere of Jatinga, a village in Assam's Halong Barail range, is disturbed every night. It is due to suicide. But not people, flocks of birds come and participate in this mass suicide almost every night. Jatinga village is a hilly area located in Cachar district of Assam. Local people have been watching this event for many years from September to November. As the sun sets on the mountain slopes, flocks of these birds gather at Jatinga village. After a while they started flying like crazy at full speed. The house in front, the trees and themselves fell to the ground and died. This incident is happening in the area of one and a half kilometers of the village. But since when this is happening even the villagers cannot say exactly. So far, the reason for this suicide of birds is not known exactly. Assam's well-known bird specialist Anwar Uddin Chowdhury said, 'It is not exactly suicide. The fact is that these birds are strongly attracted to light and die by hitting the front wall, tree or hill while rushing towards the source of that light.' But in his opinion, the solution to the suicide mystery did not come out. Because the question is why do birds rush towards the light after sunset, and most of these suicidal birds are diurnal. But the interesting thing is that the villagers are not at all saddened by the mysterious suicide of so many birds. Because if the birds that hit the walls, buildings, trees are still alive, the villagers catch them and cook them.

The Rio Tinto mine is the world's oldest mine. Its local name is Corta Atalaya. But the mine is known all over the world as The Rio Tinto mines. The mine is named after the Tinto river that runs through the mine. This metal mine, discovered in 750 BC, is located in the city of Seville between the two cities of Spain, Rayo Tinto and Andalusia. It is the largest mine in Europe and at one time the largest mine in the world. It is roughly oval in shape, 1,200 meters (3,900 ft) long and 900 meters (3,000 ft) wide and 350 meters (1,150 ft) deep. Since its discovery, silver, gold and copper were supplied to Greece and the Roman Empire. After nearly 2000 years of closure, mining started again in this mine from 1556 AD. From 1783 to 1810 AD the mine was run by the royal family of Spain. In 1871 the King of Spain decided to sell the mine. On 17 February 1873, a British-European syndicate led by Scottish businessman Hugo Matheson bought the mine for £36,80,000. After buying the mine, the company was renamed Rio Tinto. From 1877 to 1891, the company produced the largest amount of copper in the world from this mine. At that time it employed more than 2,000 workers. However, in 1994, the mine was flooded and closed. Currently, the Rio Tinto company is the world's largest mineral extraction company, headquartered in London. But now the new owner of the mine is EA, ED Tartessus. They started extracting metal from the mine again in late 2010.

Initially the museum's collection began with items donated by themselves and friends. Its permanent journey began in October 2010. In May 2011 the museum was awarded the Kenneth Hudson Award by the European Museum Forum.
