Three-day hartal: people still panic. 6 people were killed in violence at different places

Three Youth Dal workers were shot dead during a three-way clash in Faridganj upazila of Chandpur. In this incident, the local BNP has called a morning-evening strike at the upazila headquarters today. According to the details of the incident, at least 3 people were killed in Faridganj in a three-way clash between BNP-Jamaat, Police and Awami League, around a hundred people including police, journalists were injured and at least 10 people were shot. The deceased have been identified as Barpaika village Youth Dal leader Arif (23), Paikpara Union Ward Youth Dal president Jahangir (32) and Khejur Tala village Youth Dal leader Sharif (25). Meanwhile, the Upazila BNP has called for a morning-evening hartal on Saturday to protest the killing of a youth leader in police firing.

A local camp worker was killed in police firing at Jaldhaka in Nilphamari yesterday. At least 50 people were injured including 4 shot dead in police clash with Jamaat, BNP in Upazila Sadar. Among the shot victims, camp worker Moslemuddin (20) died while undergoing treatment. He is a native of Kazirhat area.

Besides, one person died due to heart attack during Jamaat-BNP procession in Shyamnagar of Satkhira. However, the victim's family claimed that he died due to bricks thrown by Awami League supporters.

Meanwhile, the opposition leaders and activists tried to ignore Section 144 at Chakaria in Cox's Bazar. When the BGB-Police opened fire to disperse the procession, two BNP workers were shot and killed on the spot. Meanwhile, the police and BGB fired at least 500 rounds.
