The Dhaka Times Desk Ahead of the 60-hour hartal on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, buses were set on fire in the capital and cocktails were exploded in front of the BNP office.
Miscreants set fire to a bus in Motijheel this morning. Suddenly around 10 am someone set fire to the bus standing in front of Motijheel T&T School. On being informed, a fire engine arrived and tried to control the fire.
On the other hand, Jamaat-Shibir workers took out a procession in front of Khilgaon Taltala Market and Badda area around 9 am on Sunday in support of the hartal.
Meanwhile, there was a cocktail explosion in front of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan in the morning. At around 12:15 today, someone exploded two cocktails in a row on the east side of the BNP central office. Meanwhile, panic spread among the people in that area.
It is to be noted that the 18-party coalition led by BNP has called for a 60-hour strike from tomorrow Monday to Wednesday for 3 consecutive days to demand elections under a non-partisan neutral government.
