When asked how many cases of assassinations and kidnappings have taken place in the last one year, he said only the number of kidnapping cases. In the question and answer session of the Jatiya Sangsad on May 31, Jatiya Party's Hossain Maqbul Shahriar asked the Home Minister how many assassinations and abductions had taken place in the country in the last one year (up to April-2012). At the same time, he wants to know the details of the success and failure of the law and order forces in this regard. In response, Home Minister Advocate Sahara Khatun said that 633 cases of kidnapping have been registered in the country in the last one year. When a person is missing or missing, murdered or an unidentified body is found, the matter is registered as soon as the law enforcement agencies are notified. At present, cases are regularly filed under the relevant section of the existing law. He further said that necessary legal action is taken through proper investigation of registered cases and GDs. In 2011, 496 people were rescued by the law and order forces with efficiency and success.
Earlier, in response to a question in the Parliament session on February 14, Home Minister Advocate Sahara Khatun said that there is no such thing as missing in the country. If 633 people are missing according to the government, then there is no account of how many more cases are covered up in reality. Moreover, some events take a different turn for other reasons such as political reasons.
