They said, even if a compromise is finally reached, there is 'no chance' of the opposition party participating in the 10th National Assembly elections. Two influential leaders of Awami League, Suranjit Sengupta and Obaidul Quader, made such comments. They said, there is no use in discussing the 10th national election. Now there can be a dialogue or discussion with the opposition party regarding the 11th parliamentary elections. They made these statements at two separate events held in the capital on Tuesday in the fourth phase of the blockade of the 18 parties led by the BNP to demand the cancellation of the election.
After giving such a statement to them, an unknown fear has arisen in the public mind. There was a hope of the people that there might be a deal between the government and the opposition at the last minute. But after yesterday's statement, the whole matter took a different turn.
Now it is clear to everyone that this is how the government is coming to power through elections. But it has become necessary to think about the political situation of the country as a result of single elections.
