The Dhaka Times Desk Miscreants set fire to 25 polling stations in the country. The 18-party alliance led by BNP has been carrying out various programs including strikes and blockades for the past two months with the call to resist the January 5 elections.
Attacks are happening in different parts of the country, especially in polling stations, with one day left for the elections. Miscreants set fire to 4 polling stations in Bogra, 4 in Khulna, 1 in Faridpur, 1 in Narsingdi, 1 in Brahmanbaria, 1 in Chittagong, 1 in Sonagazi of Feni, 8 in Daganbhuya Upazila, 2 in Babuganj of Barisal, 1 in Charghat of Rajshahi. These incidents took place from late Thursday night to 11:00 Friday night.
Meanwhile, a polling station was set on fire in the south of the capital Dhaka. However, there was no damage as the fire was extinguished in a short time.
