The Dhaka Times Desk Shamsur Rahman Sharif Dilu, the new land minister of the newly formed government, is seeing it as a challenge to eliminate terrorism, vandalism and corruption from the society by implementing the four principles of Bangabandhu.
In an exclusive interview given to The Dhaka Times, Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif Dilu also said that the event of the dark days of 75 had left the Bengali nation far behind. But still we do not stop. On that day, self-interested people took the nation to a scandalous chapter to save their interests. The nation is removing that stigma by prosecuting war criminals.
He said, today the nation is moving forward under the leadership of Awami League. Now we have no time to look back. Now is the time to just move on. We will take this nation to the golden peak again by implementing the four principles of Bangabandhu.
The newly appointed land minister also said that we have a big challenge ahead of us. Terrorism, sabotage and corruption. To save the nation from these, everyone has to work together. He said, today terrorism has entered into our veins. We have to be tough to survive this terror. About sabotage, Shamsur Rahman Sharif Dilu said, no claim can be made by sabotage. Public support is needed to realize the demand. Which BNP does not have.
Regarding corruption, Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif Dilu said that corruption should be eradicated from the society. We have to eradicate the germs of corruption that are lurking in society. He called upon all the conscientious people of the society to work unitedly in these purification works. He thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for giving him the opportunity to serve the country by appointing him as a minister and announced that he would always be committed to the development of the nation.
