The Dhaka Times Desk Teletalk, the state-owned mobile operator of Bangladesh, is going to establish the entire Bangladesh as a free WiFi zone. By doing this, the people of the country can enjoy free internet facilities.
China and Russia are providing direct financial and technical benefits in this plan of free wifi internet zone taken by Teletalk. Meanwhile, the government has signed formal agreements with China and Russia.
It is not known exactly when people all over the country will get the government free wifi internet service. However, although the details are not known, it is believed that after the installation of 3G Internet connection towers in 68 districts of Teletalk, a strong WiFi router will be installed in each tower.
One router in each tower will cover 1.5 square kilometers of strong WiFi network. Through these WiFi networks, anyone can get free internet service with their own WiFi device. In this case, however, the initial speed of the Internet is 256 kbps. However, it is also known that the Internet speed will increase further.
The work of this biggest project in the history of telecommunication sector of the country will start after the complete implementation of the 'Teletalk 3G expansion and 2G expansion' of the state-owned mobile operator Teletalk across the country.
Before this though ICT Bangladesh 100,000 free internet hotspots will be created across the country! undertakes such a project.
