The Dhaka Times Desk The world had forgotten the Cold War between the two superpowers Russia and America. This time, the former Soviet Union region will again focus on the current Ukraine, the two military rivals, the United States and Russia. Meanwhile, the upper house of the Russian parliament approved a proposal by President Vladimir Putin to send Russian troops to suppress the ongoing unrest in Ukraine. As a result, Russian military operations in Ukraine may begin at any moment.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal to send troops to Ukraine, however, comes in the wake of new Prime Minister Sergei Aksyonov's appeal for help in the Ukrainian region of Crimea. With the approval of the upper house of the Russian parliament, the Russian campaign is now only a waiting turn.
Meanwhile, US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a phone conversation of about 90 minutes on Sunday, as the United States' concern about Ukraine can be seen. Meanwhile, Obama warned Putin that if Russia sends troops to Ukraine, Russia will be isolated from the world. In response, Putin said that Russia has the right to think about the instability in its neighboring regions and Russia's own interests. In addition, Russia is preparing to send troops to Crimea in response to Prime Minister Sergei Aksyonov's appeal for help. In this case, if there is any obstacle, it will be answered. Russia doesn't want anyone poking around in its territory.

Meanwhile, the diplomacy of the US and its allied countries with Russia is already going to be light, the possibility of the US president not participating in the upcoming G-8 summit is very likely. Apart from that, Canadian Prime Minister Steven Harper has already announced that he will not participate in the G-8 conference. While Germany took some time to make their position known, Britain made it clear that they would not tolerate any aggression.
On the other hand, US Secretary of State John Kerry warned Russia in a statement, saying, "Russian President Vladimir Putin has come to the 21st century and is speaking with the mindset of the 19th century. Russia must withdraw its troops now. If not, it will be answered."

Meanwhile, the Crimean region of Ukraine is now largely occupied by Russia. Ukraine sees it as a threat to its sovereignty and is preparing for war. Barack Obama has already ordered all military and financial aid to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, even though the United Nations has already prepared to bring a proposal in this regard, it will practically collapse, because Russia is a permanent member of the United Nations, so they will cancel any proposal by exercising their veto power. On the other hand, if America and its allies want to counter Russia with NATO forces, it will be very difficult. Ukraine is a neighboring country of Russia. It is almost impossible for NATO to attack Russian territory from outside.
As it stands, Ukraine may have to fight Russia alone, even with virtually no Western aid. In this case, let's look at the difference between Russia and Ukraine's military power.

- About 845,000 soldiers are currently ready to take part in Russia's operation in Ukraine. On the other hand, the total number of troops of Ukraine is one hundred and thirty thousand.
- Where Russia's military budget is 78 billion dollars, Ukraine's is only 1.6 billion dollars!
- In terms of training, Russian army is one of the best in the world, on the other hand, Ukraine's military is inferior to that of Russia.
- Russia's intelligence service is the second most powerful agency in the world, and Ukraine is second to none.
- On the other hand, apart from the regular army, 45.6 million citizens of Russia are kept ready to fight for the country at any time.
Therefore, the war between Ukraine and Russia is truly an unequal struggle. Will Ukraine be able to prevent the military intervention of the great power of Russia! Or America or what steps to take here? But the world is going to see the third world war?
