This time, since the government holiday is from 15th, the return home starts from that day, due to which the number of passengers was very low after visiting various bus terminals yesterday on 18th August.
It was seen that the various bus terminals of the capital Dhaka, the private company employees who booked tickets earlier, only those passengers went to the terminals to return home. Moreover, no other passengers were seen. The terminals were almost empty. This scene was an exception. Because every year Eid holiday starts one or two days before Eid. That's why the crowd is overcrowded until the day before Eid.
Markets are also affected. Visiting several markets in the capital, it has been seen that the number of buyers is much less than other times. Stationary and other sellers also said this. A variety store owner said that their sales have decreased many times as the holiday has come earlier. Every year, the day before Eid, i.e., the shops are crowded till Chan night, this time two/three days ago, there are no customers.
A chicken trader in the capital said that chicken worth at least one to one and a half lakh rupees is sold every year in the three days before Eid. But this time only 12/13 thousand chickens were sold in the last two days. In this way, the businessmen of the capital feel that since the government holiday is so long before Eid, there has been a great impact on business. Most of the residents of the capital have gone to the country to celebrate Eid.
On the morning of August 18 yesterday, it was seen that people were running with their families. Although there is a crowd in the morning, this crowd decreases a lot in the afternoon. Due to which the launch is getting delayed, said the people associated with the wharf. Due to the overcrowding of passengers these few days, the launches left immediately.
