The Dhaka Times Desk China claims to have found 'signs of wreckage' 14 days after the Malaysia Airlines plane went missing.
China claims it has found 'signs of wreckage' of the missing Malaysian airliner in the South Indian Ocean. According to China, it is being thoroughly investigated whether the newly captured images on their satellites are of the 'wreckage' of the missing plane.
Malaysian Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussain said such a demand on behalf of the Chinese government on Saturday.
Hishamuddin Hussain said during the press briefing that the size of the possible debris object detected by the Chinese satellite in the southern search area is estimated to be 13 meters in length and 22 meters in width.
It should be noted that previously two objects caught in the satellite images on the Perth coast of Australia in the South Indian Ocean were assumed to be the 'wreckage' of the missing Malaysian plane, but the search could not prove it correct. Two days ago, the satellite detected these two objects floating in the Indian Ocean, 2500 km southwest of Perth.
The missing Malaysian airliner, which disappeared within hours of takeoff on March 8 with 239 on board, was not found until Saturday. The mystery of the missing plane still remains. Various efforts have been going on for the past two weeks. But no actual results have come yet.
