The Dhaka Times Desk Controversial Hollywood movie 'Noah' has been banned in Indonesia. The film was banned in the face of widespread criticism as it was made with the character of Prophet Noah.

According to the media, the role and appearance of a man sent by God Almighty or a prophet is shown in that film. Due to which the film has already been banned in Qatar, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates. This time the exhibition of this film is also banned in Indonesia. Indonesian authorities have said that showing the face of the Prophet is completely forbidden in Islam. Still, the film was banned as it depicted the character of the Prophet.

Notably, New Zealand actor Russell Crowe has been shown as Noah or Hazrat Nuh (as) in this movie. The movie was supposed to be released in Indonesia on Friday.
