According to the commission source, the media will be considered as a 'smart card' as this card is durable and beautiful and can be used in many ways. According to the Commission, after the agreement with the World Bank, even though 2 years have passed, the work of giving 'smart car' could not be started due to lack of laws. The legal framework is already in place. Therefore, in the new financial year, the related projects of the Election Commission will start the work of calling for tenders and issuing work orders for smart cards.

The 'smart card' will be anti-fraud, machine-readable and visually appealing. The initial cost of this country-made card will be $2 or a little more.” The first phase will be given free. However, if it is lost or damaged, a prescribed fee will be charged. However, according to the Election Commission, no decision has been taken yet on how much fee to pay. The validity of that card will be at least 10 years.
It should be noted that the voters are given a laminated card with the name, father and mother's name, date of birth, ID number on the first page and address on the back of the current identity card. At present, there are slightly more than 9.2 million citizen voters registered. One million voters included in the latest update are yet to collect National Identity Cards.
