Many patients have been given sub-treatments in the name of treatment, putting their lives at risk. Al-Baraka Hospital on Jainabazar College Road of Telihati Union of Sripur Upazila of Gazipur has already been sealed based on the complaints of numerous patients. However, this does not reduce the unlimited suffering of patients.
A patient of Al-Baraka Hospital is Ahmed Sumon. Suman is a student of Ampara class of Qaumi Madrasa. Suman's parents took him to the nearby Al-Baraka Hospital on February 6 afternoon when he developed viral fever. Hospital doctor Abdus Salam gave medicine to Suman without any examination. At this time, hospital nurse Hosne Ara, under the management of Abdus Salam, pushed an injection into Suman's body. Later, Dr. Abdus Salam asked Suman to take him home.
Suman's mother Minara Khatun said, “We brought Suman home, but at night Suman's fever increased. After this we took Suman to the hospital again, doctor Abdus Salam pushed another injection in Suman's body and asked to take him home. Even after returning home, Suman's fever did not decrease, instead the fever increased. At one time, black marks were seen all over Suman's body. Suman's body started to develop blisters. When we took Suman to Dr. Abdus Salam, the doctor told us to leave the hospital.”
Later, when his relatives came to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with the child Sumon, the doctors told Sumon's father, Tajuddin Ahmed, that Sumon was a victim of maltreatment. Suman's body got burnt due to wrong treatment and wrong medicine. Suman's hands and chest were burnt. Suman's wrists are already burnt. And the skin is scorched and now the flesh of the hand is falling off. Suman is writhing in pain.
Suman's mother Minara Khatun pleaded with God and said repeatedly, "I can't bear the pain of Sona Manika anymore. May God take me, save my innocent gold.
After learning about the incident, Sreepur Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Magistrate Aziz Haider Bhuiyan visited the child's house. And give cash help for the treatment of the child. Later, when Aziz Haider went to Al-Baraka Hospital, he found no one there. Everyone in the hospital fled after realizing the incident. Magistrate Aziz Haider Bhuiyan locked down Al-Baraka Hospital.
Magistrate Aziz Hayda found lying on the ground with no medical facilities at Al-Baraka Hospital. None of the nurses and doctors were trained there. Even patients were operated on near the kitchen.
Meanwhile, civil surgeon Dr. Gazipur. Md. When Shah Alam Sharifi was asked how the hospital got the license, he said, "We had no complaints against this hospital. But it remains to be seen how it got the license with such conditions.”
