Abdur Rahman (28) and his wife Lippi Begum (25) were admitted to the hospital after fighting over watching Indian TV channel Star Jalsa. This incident took place in Beltala area of Jessore city on Saturday afternoon.

It is known that Abdur Rahman son of Roshan Ali of Mobarakpur village in Jhikargacha upazila of Jessore lives in Beltala area with his wife Lipi. Abdur Rahman, a battery-operated easy bike driver, returned home from work on Saturday afternoon and asked his wife to give him rice. Meanwhile, his wife was watching the serial 'Bojhe Na Se Bojhe Na' on Star Jalsa channel. Lippi then informed her husband that she will not be able to pay rice till the end of the serial. At one stage of the argument over this incident, both started hitting each other. Meanwhile, they started vandalizing the TV-fridge and other furniture of the house. The body of both of them was pierced by pieces of glass and started bleeding. Then the neighbors rescued them and took them to the hospital.
