People's lives suffer in extreme heat: Dhaka records highest temperature in 54 years

The Dhaka Times Desk People's lives have become miserable in the scorching heat. Dhaka has recorded the highest temperature in 54 years. 40.02 degrees Celsius was recorded yesterday. This is Dhaka's highest record after 1960.


The whole country is burning with intense heat. People's life has become unbearable in unbearable heat. There is no way out of the house. It's hot in the room. Such a situation is prevailing in the whole country. Few people in the country live in AC cold. But everyone else lives in summer.

The temperature is most felt in the unplanted brick-and-stone civil life. Chowchi is bursting with scorching heat. Kalbaisakhi or rain is not seen even in Madhya Baisakh. This situation has been going on for the past one week. Especially the condition of day laborers or rickshaw drivers, van drivers or pushers is worse. They have to work in this disease and heat.

The worst picture of this temperature has emerged in Dhaka. This time the temperature in Dhaka has broken the record. On 30th April 1960 i.e. the highest temperature in 54 years was yesterday Thursday in Dhaka. Dhaka and its surrounding areas recorded a temperature of 40.2 degrees yesterday, said the Meteorological Department. They also said that there is no sign of the temperature dropping anytime soon. By the very end of this month there may be some rainfall.

Many people are also dying of heatstroke. The condition of the elderly and children is especially dire. Due to which people's life is stagnant. No one can say exactly how much more time will pass in such a situation.
