The Dhaka Times Desk An Indian court has issued an arrest warrant against Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali in a case of hurting religious sentiments.
Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali have been accused of hurting the sentiments of Sanatan religious people through some scenes and dialogues in the movie 'Golio Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela'. Arrest warrants have also been issued against one of the film's producers, Kishore Lula, the film's lyricist and artistes.
A court in Muzaffarpur, India has issued an arrest warrant against Sanjay Leela, the director of the movie Ramleela and actors Ranveer Singh, actresses Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra for not appearing in the case.
The Indian Chief Judicial Magistrate in one of his warrants has ordered the arrest of the key crew members of the film 'Goliyu Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela' for hurting the sentiments of Sanatan religious people through some scenes and dialogues and ordered them to appear before the court on June 4, according to the Mumbai Police Administration.
In November last year, lawyer Sudhir Kumar Ojha filed the case for 'hurting religious sentiments'. At that time, the Madhya Pradesh High Court of India stayed the release of 'Golio Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela' till November 22. However, the movie was released across India on November 12 as scheduled.
