The Dhaka Times Desk Recently Bangladeshi scientist Dr. Ataul Karim has designed a train that will not touch the ground while running. This discovery of his has left a response all over the world. Commercial production of this train is being thought of in different countries.
Ataul Karim took up the floating train project in 2004. After a year and a half he was able to make the prototype of the train. Where the researchers of Old Damian University tried for 7 years but did not get success. Later named scientists tested this model. But as no defects were found, it was decided to produce it commercially.
Ataul Karim has designed this train in a completely new way leaving behind the conventional trend of trains. The design of this train is interesting. Its main feature is that it will not touch the ground while running. The train will run smoothly using magnetic energy. Its speed will also be much higher. Much like a bullet train. In Germany, China and Japan, trains with a speed of over 150 mph have been invented. However, the difference between Ataul Karim's floating train is that it costs an average of $110 million per mile of track to be laid on that train. And this train discovered by Ataul Karim will cost only 12 million to 30 million dollars.
Biography of Dr. Ataul Karim:
Ataul Karim received a higher degree in Physics from Dhaka University and MS in Physics, MS in Electrical Engineering and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama, USA in 1978, 1979 and 1981 respectively.
He is very successful in his professional life. Currently he is leading 5000 talented students and researchers of the world in at least 600 faculties. Dr. 6 colleges, at least 20 research centers, 600 teachers and more than 5 thousand graduate and under-graduate students are being run under Karim's leadership.
