The Dhaka Times Desk Facebook users who have fewer comments on their Facebook posts or whose comments or posts do not receive immediate replies may have low self-esteem. A recent neurological study revealed this information.

Social media is helping users think about sociality in new ways, new research suggests. But if they don't get enough response through all these social media, it can create a negative effect on them. As a result of all these negative effects, they lose their inner confidence, self-esteem. As a result, they become self-centered and lonely.
The study was conducted under the supervision of the Department of Neuropsychology at the University of Queensland, Australia. The study was led by Professor Stephen Tobin. He said, they mainly focused on two things, one is how the different feelings hidden in the mind are expressed through social communication and how the negative response in these media separates them from the society. Basically, the purpose of this research is to highlight the contemptuous state that the user's position creates in the person through social communication. During the course of this study, one group made regular Facebook posts and another group viewed those posts. Studies have shown that not posting for more than two days is having a negative effect on them.
In another such study, a group of users continuously commented on a post. Some of them are technically set-up so that users don't see comments on their comments. Interviews with both of them show that they are losing their confidence, self-esteem and control over their own mind and have a negative self-image. From this study, researchers say, being active through social networking will increase confidence and self-esteem in individuals.
