The Dhaka Times Desk The environment is changing. The temperature of the earth is increasing. The main reason is excess carbon emissions. We are suffering in many ways and will be in the future. We dread the thought of submerging the lowlands as the ice melts. In such a situation, it was known that climate change is affecting food crops as well. The nutritional quality of the crop is decreasing. People will face a huge nutritional crisis in the future.

Examination:
A group of researchers, led by Professor Samuel Myers of Harvard's Department of Environmental Health, cultivated the grain and pulse on several plots in the United States, Japan and Australia. On the one hand, the amount of carbon-dioxide in the air is kept at 546 to 586 parts per million. Scientists expect this amount of carbon dioxide to be in the air within the next four decades. 400 per ten lakhs is used in other cases.
Observation:
Zinc, iron and protein content of rice and wheat, among crops grown in high carbon-dioxide applications, decreased compared to normal. Soybeans and pulses have unchanged protein, but zinc and iron have decreased. For example in wheat zinc decreased by 9.3%, iron decreased by 5.1% and protein decreased by 6.3%.
Results:
A large population of the world depends on rice, wheat and various pulses. Two billion people are already suffering from zinc and iron deficiency. As a result, 6.3 million years are lost from life every year - simply put, life expectancy is decreasing. Due to the reduction of these nutritional qualities of food, people will be at great health risk. Zinc deficiency alone can lead to many other problems, including loss of height, loss of appetite, hair loss, diarrhea, delayed sexual maturity, impotence, hypogonadism (for men), and eye and skin lesions. And lack of iron will cause various problems including fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness and headache.
Appropriate measures should be taken in such problems as soon as possible. Researchers talk about the application of fertilizers and synthetic chemicals to crops. However, if permanent measures are not taken to prevent environmental damage, the world is going to be in a big crisis.
