Chandika Hathurusinghe is the new coach of Bangladesh national cricket team

The Dhaka Times Desk BCB has appointed Lankan Chandika Hathurusinghe as the new coach for the Bangladesh national cricket team. The announcement was made officially by the Bangladesh Cricket Board on Monday.

Chandika Hathurusingha BCB has signed an initial contract with him for two years. According to the contract, Hathurusinghe will start working as the coach of Bangladesh from July 1. However, before the Indian team's tour of Bangladesh in June, BCB requested him to take charge. India will come to Bangladesh to play a three-match ODI series on June 13.

Meanwhile, BCB president Nazmul Hasan said, "We requested him to come earlier as he is visiting India in June. He will come by June 10 to be with us for the India series."

বোর্ড সভাপতি নতুন কোচ সম্পর্কে বলেন, “উপমহাদেশের উইকেট সম্পর্কে সে ওয়াকিবহাল। শ্রীলঙ্কা জাতীয় দলে খেলেছে, সেখানে কাজও করেছে। অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় বেশ কিছুদিন ধরে কাজ করেছে। আমরা মনে করেছি, সামনে বিশ্বকাপ যেহেতু অস্ট্রেলিয়ায়, এমন একটি কম্বিনেশন আমাদের জন্য ভালো হবে।”

Meanwhile, another Sri Lankan Mario Villavarayan has signed a two-year contract as the trainer of the Bangladesh national team. He was doing today as a trainer of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board.
