The Dhaka Times Desk The Meteorological Department fears that the low pressure created in the Bay of Bengal may turn into a cyclone. The low pressure over the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas has rapidly intensified into a low pressure over the same area. As a result, the sea is moderately rough. The depression may develop into a cyclone.

Fishing boats and trawlers operating in the Bay of Bengal have been asked to stay away from deep sea until further notice, according to the Meteorological Department's latest special bulletin. 3 warning signs are asked to be shown. On the other hand, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to display remote warning signal number 1.
The Meteorological Department also said that the depression was located about 685 km south-southwest of Chittagong seaport, about 595 km south-southwest of Cox's Bazar seaport and on the other hand, about 690 km south of Mongla seaport and about 645 km south of Payra seaport. The Meteorological Department says it is likely to intensify and move north.
It is to be noted that in the last few days, people's life has come down to a miserable situation. Because of this, it was understood that a large depression could develop.
