Behind BGP Unhappiness: Blocking Yaba and Rohingya Entry

Suddenly the Bangladesh-Myanmar border has become hot. Myanmar Border Police BGP attacked and killed a member of BGB without reason. Bangladesh Border Guard BGB can first understand why they behaved like this. However, many people are looking at the Yaba tablets and the blocking of Rohingya infiltration as the reason behind it. And because of these reasons, Myanmar's border guard force BGP is unhappy with BGB. Due to BGB's obstruction, some dishonest officials of Myanmar forces are deprived of the huge money of smuggling. For this reason, it is believed that the attack was carried out to break the morale of the BGB. This information was given by the news media citing the Ministry of Home Affairs and BGB sources.

According to them, billions of yaba tablets manufactured in Myanmar were entering Bangladesh every day through drug dealers with the help of BGP. The government declared 'war' against Yaba two months ago. That is why 6 Yaba traders were killed in a 'gunfight' with law and order forces in Teknaf area a few days ago. Since then traders have changed the route of bringing yaba. At one point they spread up to Barisal-Chandpur. BGB is blocking there too. BGB has been providing information to various forces and cooperating at various times. Enraged by this, BGP prepared to attack to break the morale of BGB.

Allegedly, with the help of BGP, Yaba factory was built in Myanmar's Maungdoo province. Many members of the BGP have become owners of huge sums of money in return for their cooperation in these Yaba smuggling.

BGB said, because of the inaccessible area, it was not possible for BGB to patrol the Panchari border of Naikshyongchari earlier. The area was very unprotected. As a result, Myanmar's border guards created a route for Rohingyas to infiltrate and send them to Yaba through that place. Recently, BGB established 6 Border Out Posts (BOPs) in those areas which are called border posts. Those border posts were opened a few days ago. In this situation, Yaba and Rohingyas are being hindered further. That is why those dishonest officials of BGP are extremely angry with BGB. BGB member Mizanur Rahman had to bear the cost. However, no matter how much the BGP cheats, the BGB officials feel that they will not be able to break the morale of the BGB.

Extensive security measures have been beefed up at the border for the past few days. Now Bangladesh-Myanmar border is fully secured.
