Malka Banu Masjid and Dighi located in Saral UP of Banskhali is one of the timeless witnesses of the famous Malka Ban-Manu Mia love story. Molka Banu's father's name is Amir Mohammad Chowdhury. Their settlement and zamindar estate was in the simple village of Banskhali. Saral village has an oldest mosque named Malka Banu and an almost defunct lake. Maleka Banu's marriage with Manu Mia, the son of Anwara's zamindar, is a shocking event in history. According to historical sources, Malka Banu-Manu married Mia and started a family life. There are many funny stories around the country during marriage. According to the sources of "Banshkhali History and Traditions and Agitation", a person named Amir Mohammad Chowdhury lived in Saral and he was an influential and zamindar. Historian Malka Banu Chowdhury was the only daughter among his eight children. Malka Banu was married to Manu Mia, son of Anwara's zamindar. When a daughter was born in their family, Malka Banu defied her husband and moved to the family home of Banshkhali.
The mosque and dighi that now stand as memorials at Sarle claim to have been built by Amir Muhammad, father of Malka Banu, and have an inscription in French. Which was later destroyed by various calamities including cyclones. It is not possible to know the actual information about the mosque, which has hundreds of years of ancient history. On the other hand, the huge lake is currently on the verge of filling up. The memory of Malka Banu will be erased from history if Malka Banu Mosque and Dighi are not renovated.
