Due to this inclement weather, the urban life has become miserable. Apart from yesterday, it rained a lot during the night as well. Water has entered the houses next to the waterlogged road.
The district administration has evacuated at least 300 families to safe places due to the possibility of landslides. A landslide occurred at one place yesterday. But no one was injured.
Meanwhile, Patenga Meteorological Department sources said that 29.8 mm of rainfall has been recorded in the previous 24 hours till 9 am. Meteorologists said that this rain is mainly due to the influence of Kalbaisakhi.
