Grameen's initiative is to bring affordable phones to the country's market. However, although the original price of the phone is 1931 taka, Grameen Phone says that due to tax, we will sell this phone in Bangladesh for 4624 taka! As a result, although Mozilla has made this set with the belief of providing a low-cost phone for the poor common people, in reality, it is not available at a low price in the hands of local dealers and retailers in the Bangladesh market.
Meanwhile, all the senior officials of Telenor, the parent company of Grameen Phone, are currently staying in Dhaka to develop this device. They said this phone is capable of revolutionizing the smartphone of the people of Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, Mozilla said that their phone of this model is sold in India for 30 dollars more than the original market price of 25 dollars, Grameen Phone says they will give this phone to the people of Bangladesh for 60 dollars!
