The Intelligence Department of the Metropolitan Police arrested 7 members of the banned militant organization Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) including Tasnim from Turag police station area of Tongir on Thursday night. At this time, DB also recovered huge explosives.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (Media) Md. Masudur Rahman confirmed the matter to the media. Deputy Commissioner Md. Masudur Rahman said, 'those JMB members have been arrested with a large amount of explosives from Tongil Turag area. We have information that they were planning for sabotage.'
It is to be noted that after hanging the main leaders of the banned militant organization Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), they have been hiding in various ways. They are organizing internally. However, due to strict surveillance by RAB and intelligence, JMB members are sometimes caught before their plans are implemented.
