Research shows that most partners share pictures or statuses on each other's Facebook walls. Moreover, they openly want to express their depth of love by commenting in their comment box. Researchers say Facebook is steadily driving such lovebirds into a process that in some cases amounts to peer surveillance of users. As a result, what users call each other's privacy can be damaged in many cases. Facebook has always facilitated the lovebirds to stay more virtual closer through this social media. One of the study's researchers, Gwedin Seidman, said the experiment suggests that partners try to be closer virtually in hopes of reassurance that their relationship is okay.

The researchers recruited some people who were in romantic relationships to the study and conducted a survey on them. The survey focused on their virtual behavioral and motivational issues. Also, the researchers determined five factors in this field and they are - Generosity, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Neutrality. The researchers also found that most of the partners have some kind of fear about their bond and to eliminate it, they try to find or stay close to their partner in the virtual world. And in this case, extrovert partners think less about what their loved one is not doing and introverts see it more.
