It is to be noted that at 5 pm, the leaders and activists of Chhatra Sangram Parishad held a meeting with the university vice-chancellor AMS Arefin Siddique in his office. The activists of Chhatra Sangram Parishad urged not to allow Piyas Karim's body to be brought to Shaheed Minar. Later, the vice-chancellor called the proctor of the university and told him about the decision not to grant permission, media sources said.
