The Dhaka Times Desk good morning Today is Saturday, 25 October 2014 Christ, 10 Kartik 1421 Bangabd, 28 Zilhaj 1435 Hijri. Good morning everyone from The Dhaka Times. Happy birthday to all those whose birthday is today - happy birthday.
The picture you are looking at is called Charu. It has to be fished with. During the rainy season, this charu is kept in various rivers and canals. Especially during heavy rains, this charu is kept opposite to the direction of the water flow. But now this fishing technique is almost extinct.
Each charu has at least two entrances. Through that entrance, the fish easily entered. But the time to get out no longer finds a way. Because the entrances are in such a way that when you enter you will enter but when you leave you will not be able to leave because of the bamboo door. If you keep it for an hour or two or sometimes at night, you will find the fish full in the morning. But since the water contains charu leaves, the fish stays fresh.
This is how Charu is used for fishing. We saw fishing for this charm as children. Even during the rainy season, if you go to the village, you can see fishing for charu.
