Conspirators to kill two leaders arrested in West Bengal, India

One of the men named by Indian intelligence as conspirators in the assassination of Bangladeshi leaders (current Prime Ministers) Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia has been arrested from West Bengal, media reports said. This news was published in different media yesterday.

A reward of Rs 10 lakh was announced for information about the arrested Sajid. Indian intelligence has claimed that the 40-year-old man is a Bangladeshi and JMB commander. Along with the arrested Sajid, another person named Ziaul Haque was also arrested by the National Intelligence Agency of India. Detectives claimed that he is also involved with militants.

According to media reports, in addition to the arrest of these two in West Bengal, another 30-year-old woman named Sajina Begum was arrested in the neighboring state of Assam on Friday evening. NIA has announced a reward for information about arrested Sajina's husband Shahanur Alam. The price of his head has also been fixed at Rs 5 lakh.

Indian intelligence agency NIA considers the arrest of Sajid and Ziaul to be an important progress in this investigation. An official of India's Ministry of Home Affairs said on Saturday, 'A few days ago West Bengal Police arrested Sajid. However, for the sake of investigation, it has not been disclosed.

It should be noted that on October 2, a sudden explosion occurred in a house in Burdwan, West Bengal. After his investigation in India after 2 people were killed, the involvement of JMB, a banned militant organization in Bangladesh, came to light. The West Bengal Police arrested two women from the house where the blast took place. According to the West Bengal Police, Indian intelligence has been claiming since then that the two arrested women are affiliated with the JMB and had crossed over to India from Bangladesh. While investigating the Burdwan blasts, Indian intelligence officials came to know of a plan by militants to kill Bangladesh's current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
