The Dhaka Times Desk The Citizens Rights Movement has demanded 6 points including 25 paisa per minute call charge on mobile phones. They made this demand in a human chain in front of the National Press Club on the morning of Saturday, March 9.
Speakers in the human chain said, 'Increased line rent should be cancelled, monthly rent should be 25 taka and call rate should be 25 paisa and pulse per second for all mobile phones.' The speakers at the human chain put forward the following demands in writing.
The demands are:
# BTCL and land phone monthly line rent 25 taka, 1 unit every 5 minutes and call charge 50 paisa per unit.
# One call rate policy in one country requires all mobile phone companies to charge 25 paise per minute and offer bonus calls on talk time during peak hours.
# VoIP piracy companies who have paid fines by canceling licenses Ensuring improved customer service at affordable rates with transparency International tenders should be given to new mobile operators for fair trade.
# will scrap the Telenor logo and reinstate the logo that was given on the Prime Minister's inauguration day. If you want to collect money for Padma Setu from the mobile phone sector, please pay 25 paisa per minute call charge and 25 paisa surcharge for Padma Setu.
# Abolition of Tricky (Dhokabaji) Advertisements spread in the name of providing various benefits including fraud and using the seriousness of our freedom, freedom fighters and language movement should be stopped.
