According to their report, just by searching YouTube app on Windows phone, it will be seen that numerous fake YouTube apps are appearing. Similarly, when searching for 'Swing Copter' game, several fake apps appear in it.

Out of 100 popular apps in App Store, 38 apps are available on iOS and Android, 38 apps are basic apps like Flash Lite, 9 apps are alternatives to apps like Snapchat, 8 apps are fake and only 7 apps are made by Microsoft. The Windows platform has never been given much importance when it comes to exposing popular applications. 200 days after an app is released on iOS and Android platform, it comes to Windows platform.

Jackdaw Research also wrote in their report that it is very difficult for Microsoft to turn around with this field. This is because Microsoft's market is very small. It captured 3.4 percent of the market in 2013, but according to IDC data, it has fallen to 2.8 percent this year. No developers are encouraged to create apps on Windows platform. According to experts, even if Microsoft's new OS Windows 10 comes to the market, it seems that it will not be of much use.

However, Microsoft said that their Windows 10 will be suitable for PC, tab and mobile platforms. Analysts say that PC apps are completely different than what Windows Phone needs.

However, Microsoft has not been deterred by Jackdaw Research's report. As a suggestion for Microsoft, the researchers said, Microsoft should develop a flagship mobile phone. So that buyers can understand what is real Windows Phone. Make that phone popular. Again, so that the app makers can earn from this platform, they have to make it possible. Experts have given opinion that then both clans will be saved.
