India will soon send Noor Hossain, the main accused in the sensational Narayanganj 7 murders back to Bangladesh. Home Secretary Mozammel Haque Khan confirmed to the media that the Ministry of External Affairs of India has given this information in a letter.
In this regard, the Home Secretary said, 'Last week, the Ministry of External Affairs of India said in a letter that the police have been instructed to take all measures to send Noor Hossain back to Bangladesh. India wants to know in the letter when, where and how he will be handed over.
Noor Hossain is currently detained in Kolkata court. He was arrested along with two other accomplices in a residential building in Kolkata on June 14. Indian intelligence police arrested him on charges of illegal entry.
The Home Secretary also said, 'We have come to know that it may take a few more days for India to complete the necessary steps to send Noor Hussain back home.' He said that if everything goes well, Noor Hussain can be found back in less than a week. We are in constant communication with India on this matter.'
It is to be noted that Noor Hossain escaped to India after 7 murders along with Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam last April. In this case, 17 people, including 15 RAB members, have already given a confessional statement under section 164 in the court.
