The Dhaka Times Desk A new harmful virus has appeared on Android phones that can be dangerous even when the phone is turned off!
All modern conveniences are coming to Android phones one by one. So all the new Android phones are coming in the market. But in addition to the convenience of these phones, there are also various harmful effects. For example, a new malware or harmful virus is spreading in this Android phone. Which can make calls even when the phone is switched off. Can also take pictures. Researchers at AVG, a security product manufacturer, have recently made such a claim. This information has emerged in a report of the technology website Mashable.
AVG researchers are quoted as saying in the report that this malware fools Android phone users even when the phone is turned off. It captures the 'shut down' process of the phone and shows the shutdown on the screen when the phone is turned off. The phone's screen shows shutdown animations and the screen goes black, but the phone is actually still on. In such a situation, the phone can perform various surveillance tasks like sending messages to third-party, making calls, recording calls and even taking pictures.
However, the researchers did not reveal any details about the malware's name or mechanism. Only some of the malware's code has been released.
AVG advises researchers to be careful to make sure that the battery is completely disconnected when the phone is turned off.
