The Dhaka Times Desk India's Bengali channel Star Jalsar Natak is the current hit of Bangladesh. And the producers are taking that opportunity. Star Jalsar Baha will act in a Bangladesh drama.
There seems to be no one who does not know actress Bahaa, the lead character in Star Jalsa's popular serial 'Ishtikootum' from Kolkata. Many viewers of Bangladesh also watch that drama. (Though Bahar is currently being played by someone else) Baha, whose real name is Ranita Das, is currently acting in a Bangladeshi drama series. Directed by Dayal Rahman, the drama is named 'Haimanti'.
Based on Rabindranath Tagore's story, Baha will be seen playing the role of 'Haimanti' in this under-production drama. According to media sources, the drama is currently being shot at Bharat Lakshmi Pictures set in Kolkata. Apart from Baha (Ronita), two Bengali artists are acting in this play. He is playing the role of Apu opposite Niloy Baha of Bangladesh. Shirin Alam, Jhuna Chowdhury, Paran Chatterjee of Kolkata, Tarun and many more will be seen along with this.
A source related to the producer said that after the shooting of the drama in Kolkata, the work of the next part will be done in Dhaka. It is also reported that the drama will be aired on a private TV channel in Bangladesh soon.
