The Dhaka Times Desk Indian parliament praised Bangladesh for combating militancy and terrorism. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Haribhai Chowdhury praised Bangladesh in response to a question in the Lok Sabha of the Indian Parliament on Tuesday.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Haribai Chowdhury said, 'The action taken by the Bangladesh government against the Indian militants who used the soil of Bangladesh to carry out terrorism against India is really commendable.'
The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs also said that there is regular exchange of information between intelligence agencies of the two countries about the activities of Indian militant organizations. Regarding the border, he said that the current Hasina government has tried to stop the infiltration of militants on the border. Infiltration has been largely stopped.
