According to media reports, Facebook authorities have decided on the matter. It has been said that initially Facebook will remove the likes of those pages which are not updated for many days. These pages will be considered as 'dead pages'.

It is known that Facebook authorities want to give more opportunities to pages that are always updated by removing likes. In other words, the updated pages reach more users - that is what the Facebook authorities are going to do.

Facebook said it will find 'inactive' Facebook pages and remove likes from those pages. So their likes can drop to zero. That would not be unusual at all.

Facebook authorities say, but these likes will not be removed suddenly. Facebook authorities say that the issue will not be implemented immediately, but keeping the pages active will benefit the page owners. This means that users will get some chance to activate the pages.
