A senior government official told The Times of India, "He (Kejriwal) ordered the removal of air conditioners from his residence. It's hard work. This means we have to redesign the whole house again. New windows or something else must be built to cover the space left by removing the air conditioner. We requested him to reconsider the matter. But if he persists in his decision, we may have to take such action.' It should be noted that Kejrial does not use the air conditioner in his secretariat.
An official of the Public Works Department told the media, 'The Chief Minister has also prohibited us from spending more time or money on the renovation of our houses. He has even agreed to commit adultery.' The house at 5 Flagstaff Road has two lawns, a drawing room, a dining room and two quarters for housekeepers.
