Domestic air fares are reduced on the occasion of Eid. There are also special flights. Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced the reduction of air fares on all domestic routes. The airline is launching 'special-extra' flights to Jessore, Rajshahi and Syedpur from July 15 due to increased passenger pressure. This information was informed in a press release signed by Khan Mosharraf Hossain, General Manager of Public Relations Branch of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Thursday.
Biman's notification said that this reduced fare will be effective only on the occasion of Eid till July 31. Travel from Dhaka to any domestic destination can be done at a reduced fare of Tk 200 to Tk 500 per time. Besides, the fare has been reduced by up to 1 thousand taka to return to Dhaka from any domestic destination.
On the other hand, it has been announced that the Sylhet-Dhaka BG-607 flight from London will cost only 2,000 taka including tax every Saturday and BG-605 flight on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for only 2,500 taka including tax.
