As part of the Awami League government's political manifesto Vision-2021 Digital Bangladesh, the government will install optical fiber in 1200 unions.
Under this project, optical fiber cable connection will be provided from upazila cities to 1,200 union parishads. Establishment of 554 Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Centers, construction of cloud platform on pilot project basis, capacity enhancement of existing network management system, installation of necessary network equipment and establishment of helpdesk.
It will be implemented through Government-to-Government (G2G) projects. This project has been accepted under Development of ICT Infra Network for Bangladesh Government Project-3 under implementation by Bangladesh Computer Council.
